Updated Letter from the British Red Cross
10 May 2008
Dear Nadia and everyone who took part in the Walk for Iraq,
I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for all your hard work both fundraising and training for your walk from Hastings to Rye on Saturday 16th June last year. The money you have raised in aid of the work that the International Committee of the Red Cross/Red Crescent (ICRC) is undertaking in association with the Iraqi Red Crescent is essential.
You have all gone above and beyond and raised a brilliant £20,315.17 that has now been transferred to the ICRC for their continuing work.
I can’t thank you enough, on behalf of everyone at the British Red Cross, for your incredible support and the difference the money you’ve raised will make.
Thank you again for your support.
Best Wishes

Letter of Thanks from the British Red Cross
June 23rd, 2007
To all who took part in the Walk for Iraq on Saturday 16 June:
I just wanted to say a massive thank you and congratulations to all of you who took part in the walk from Hastings to Rye on Saturday, in aid of the work that the International Committee of the Red Cross/Red Crescent (ICRC) is undertaking in association with the Iraqi Red Crescent.
I hope that you enjoyed the day - it sounds like the weather held out for you, which was lucky - and that you didn’t find the 19km too strenuous! It really is a fantastic effort, and I can confirm that to date you have already raised in the region of £20,000 for the ICRC, and I understand that there is still more to come, which is absolutely staggering!
I will be in touch when we have a final figure for the amount that the team has raised, but in the meantime I would like to take the opportunity to thank you, on behalf of everyone at the British Red Cross, for your enthusiasm and ongoing support and fantastic fundraising efforts.
Kind regards,
Alice Harding
