Additional Information on the Red Cross/Red Crescent
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works closely with the Iraqi Red Crescent to respond to the growing humanitarian needs of the people of Iraq. The ICRC carries out emergency relief activities to people on a daily basis.
The ICRC also helps to promote International Law, reminding soldiers to respect the Geneva Convention.
